6 Podcasts I Can’t Stop Listening To
So, you know how people usually have a specific preference as to what they listen to? Some people listen to audiobooks, some listen to country, others rap, etc, etc, etc. Everyone has a preference and opinion. Well, my go-to option is podcasts.
I listen to a wide range of podcasts, from fictional worlds to self help. To me, it doesn’t matter if they’re a massive celebrity or a teenager in a closet. Literally. I’ve tried making podcasts a couple times, and closets are super helpful with reducing noise.
However interesting my failed attempts at podcasts may be, though, that’s not what we’re here for. So, here’s my list of 6 Podcasts I Can’t Stop Listening To!
Unexplained Mysteries is the newest podcast I’ve listened too, and honestly, I couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s such a interesting true crime podcasts, and as someone who loves a good cop show, it’s right up my alley.
Hosted by Molly Brandenburg and Richard Rossner, Unexplained is a show that goes into the unexplained mysteries of life. Whether it’s cold cases or just generally creepy phenomena, it’s a show that’s hard to stop listening to once you start.
I started listening to one of their latest episodes, “PNW Feet Washing Ashore” while on one of my morning walks. I’m from the Pacific Northwest, so obviously my attention was caught. However, I practically doubled my walk so I could listen to both parts of the mystery because I was so hooked.
If you’re someone who likes cop shows or watches things like Buzzfeed Unsolved then this podcast is probably for you.
Welcome to NightVale
This was the podcast that started my obsession. I started listening to Welcome to Night Vale when I was an 8th grader. I didn’t have access to tons of music, and Spotify was a foreign concept to me, so I was desperate for something to listen to.
Welcome to Night Vale came as a suggestion from one of my friends, a girl in my neighborhood. I was instantly hooked. It’s general fantastical creepiness was everything that I, as a 14 year old girl, needed and wanted.
Even today, 5 years later, this show still hits a sweet spot when I need something fictional and creepy in my life, and it will always be one of my favorites.
So if you like fictional storytelling in a setting where everything is not as it seems, I would definitely suggest you check it out.

She with Jordan Lee Dooley
Jordan Lee Dooley is such an inspiration to me. I’ve never heard of anyone else who’s started essentially the same way that I have. While I’m not in a sorority nor do I own an Etsy shop, she’s someone that I look up to and admire because of how similar our dreams are.
In almost every episode of her’s that I’ve listened to, she’s talked about beginnings. She recognizes that beginning is hard. However, it’s so rewarding when you see it pay off.
This podcast is a letter to every dreamer out there. So if you have dreams and hopes and desires, I would absolutely suggest you listen to it, because you never know what you could be inspired to do.
As someone who really struggled with self worth for a long time in life – even today, it’s still something I continue to struggle with – this podcast holds a special place in my heart.
Although people’s feelings about self worth come from different places, there’s always ways to improve how you think of yourself. Even the most confident, self assured people dip and fall sometimes.
That’s why this podcast is so amazing. No matter where your confidence level is, there is always a way to make it better.
To everyone who wants to improve how they look at or think about themselves, stop right here, because this might just be the podcast for you. 🙂

Detail Therapy is one of the most interesting podcasts I’ve ever come across. Most podcasts dial their content down to a specific niche, and they talk about that and only that.
What I love about Detail Therapy is that while Amy does have a niche, she’s not afraid to go into topics that fall just outside her niche. It allows her listeners to have a greater idea of what really contributes to becoming a successful person instead of just the things that contribute directly towards success.
If you’re interested in becoming your best, most successful self – in whatever sense that means to you – I would definitely recommend this awesome podcast to you!
As a writer, this is podcast has so many helpful hints and tips that one can apply to so many things. Although I’m just a blogger and wannabe podcaster right now, I dream of writing and publishing my own book. It’s something that’s always been on my bucket list, and it’s part of what makes me a dreamer.
This podcast is hosted by a multitude of bestselling authors all sharing advice and collaborating to help anyone who wants to write. It’s not uncommon to find me listening to this particular podcast in the car, because every time I finish an episode I have a whole new book idea that’s ready to come to life.
While I would absolutely recommend this podcast to everyone, I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. That’s why if you’re specifically a writer who wants to become a publisher, I would recommend you listen.
